Stephenie Leung

Since graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music, Stephenie has been teaching the piano to pupils of all ages and levels. Stephenie is friendly and patient. All lessons are tailored to suit individual pupil's needs and goals. 

With over 10 years of teaching experience, Stephenie has taught children as young as 3 and many adult pupils up to 60 years old. It is never too old to start learning an instrument as long as you are motivated and determined to succeed.

Whether you are a complete beginner or semi-professional, working towards piano exams, or learning for fun, Stephenie is here to help you achieve your piano playing goals.

Unlike other "theory class", where pupils of all different levels are put in a room to complete theory workbooks in their own accord, music theory lessons in one-to-one or small group settings are far more worthwhile. This is especially important and beneficial to those who wish to pass their Grade 5 Music Theory exams in order to take and pass instrumental exams of Grade 6 and above.

At Glossop Piano Studio's music theory lessons, pupils will

• properly and thoroughly learn all topics covered in the exam syllabus,

• feel free and confident to ask questions and discuss topics that they need extra help with,

• complete theory exercises during the lesson with the teacher's help and have the ability and confidence to work on similar exercises (set to them as homework) on their own at home,

• have their work corrected weekly with care, and have any mistakes explained to them,

• receive extra handouts and study notes when necessary,

• more importantly, have fun learning music theory and feel 100% ready to pass their exam!
